Hi everyone! I hope you all had as great of a weekend as I did.
Saturday Bubs and Cassidy had a funeral to go to. While they were there, I took the opportunity to take Joselyn and Khalub out to brunch! Khalub and I used to go out for breakfast all of the time, usually during our weekend morning bike ride. We haven’t really had as many opportunities in the last couple years since we work every other weekend. Anyway, brunch was amazing. The food was good, and it was nice to have some time with just Joselyn and Khalub. That was the first time I EVER went out to a meal with just those two. We all had a really great time, and they were even picking on each other and making each other laugh.

After lunch we still had some time so we walked to the thrift stores. We didn’t really find much, but it was still a nice outing. Eventually Bubs and Cassidy made their way over to us after the funeral so we could all go home together.
After relaxing for a bit, we headed out once again. We went a couple towns over to get some shopping done. Well… since I took Khalub and Joselyn out for brunch, I used this opportunity to take Cassidy out! We went to the salon and got mani / pedis. It took a while, and Bubs got pretty impatient so he went over to the hardware store. It was such a wonderful day, and I got to spend some time with all of the kids. It absolutely filled my heart!

Now that I have told you a little bit about my weekend, I wanted to share some other exciting news! Recently I purchased my domain, which is something I was waiting to do because I wanted to make sure blogging was something I would stick with. Well, it turns out that I love blogging and the community. Honestly, you guys are the best!
I will keep writing about healing and parenting. Anyone that knows me, knows that these are two things I am very passionate about. I would like to expand on that a bit though. One of the biggest parts of my healing process has been spending time with the ones I love. We have so many adventures that I would like to share with all of you. I don’t know why I haven’t shared more of these sooner. Not only will there be more posts on family adventures, but there are also more “Blended & Splendid” posts in the works. These are posts that focus on blended family life, including the joys and challenges.
Also, anybody here love some good food therapy? I love to cook and bake and eat. I am a total foodie, so I might start sharing some of my favorite recipes on here as well. This is yet to be determined, but there’s a good chance of that!

I am still organizing my thoughts on all of this, but there will definitely be more content in more categories. I am really excited about this! Do any of you guys have any specific topics you would like me to cover? Questions? I’d love to hear, let me know in the comments. And don’t forget to tell me about your weekend as well!
I think your ideas sound great! Looking forward to reading them 🙂

It all sounds great. I’m a big fan of people branching out and writing about all sorts of subjects in their blogs. What a fab weekend. I find taking the time to do that things with the kids can take effort but it can be so wonderful!

Thanks so much Claire! Yes yes and yes! All of the “blogs about blogging” tell you that you’re supposed to narrow it down to one niche, but that it should be about you. Well to that I say there is SO MUCH MORE to me than one single niche. 🙂 Doing activities with the kids does take effort, but it is well worth the effort. Hope you’re having a great day!
