Hi everybody! Welcome to my blog where you will read about parenting, trauma, recovery and literally everything in between!

I want to say thank you so much for visiting me here. I have thought long and hard about starting this blog, but I think that this will be an amazing journey for me, and hopefully as well for my readers.

One of the very first things I want my readers to know, is that I want to create something truly beautiful here. I want to create a community. I absolutely don’t want this to be another blog about blogging, or completely overtaken by ads. Of course you will see some, but that is inevitable.

I have been through a lot in my lifetime, and I know that I am not the only one. My mission here is to put my experiences out there, and share any advice that I may have and maybe even get some in return. I want to share the things that have helped me when I was down, or maybe even the things that didn’t help. I felt alone in what I was going through, more times than I care to count (or can count!). If just one of my posts helps somebody feel less alienated, or like they can connect and relate then I am succeeding.

My life has changed so much within the last couple years, and I have worked on myself A LOT. I know I still have a lot of work to do, but I am getting there. One step at a time!

I have a beautiful blended family. My son, who is a freshman this year. (WHERE did the time go!?) My (step) daughters, one a sophomore and one in 5th grade. The very youngest (step) son is 6 this year. Lets just say we have lots of adventures, and LAUNDRY! Oh my goodness, the laundry!!

Aside from my kids, family life, and writing I have a serious love for music. Singing has been one of my biggest hobbies since my first words. Literally everything was put into a tune. Photography is another passion of mine, mostly scenic views and countryside. I’m hoping to incorporate some of my photography into this site! I love nature, hiking, taking walks and camping. I feel grounded and most at peace when I’m surrounded by nature. I know it sounds cliche, but that’s me.
